1.21.9, the release of The Copper Age, is a game drop for Java Edition released on September 30, 2025.[1] It adds copper tools and armor, copper golems, various copper blocks and items, shelves, cursor hover effects, and new options for the debug screen.
1.21.6, the release of Chase the Skies, is a game drop released on June 17, 2025.[1] This drop introduces happy ghasts, the player locator bar, new music and the "Tears" music disc, craftable saddles and environmental fog.
1.21.5, the release of Spring to Life, is a game drop released on March 25, 2025.[1] This drop introduces new chicken, cow, and pig variants, expands plant life, and updates all spawn egg textures. Additionally, several features previously exclusive to Bedrock Edition have been added to Java Edition, enhancing gameplay diversity and visual aesthetics, and also fixes bugs. This is the first version released in 2025.
1.21.4, the release of The Garden Awakens, is a game drop for Java Edition, released on December 3, 2024.[1] It adds the creaking, the Pale Garden, and pale oak wood, and fixes bugs.
1.21.2, the release of Bundles of Bravery, is a game drop for Java Edition released on October 22, 2024.[1]
It adds bundles, more banner patterns to match Bedrock Edition, and reorganizes rarity to better reflect gameplay. In addition, it introduces Winter Drop features to experimental gameplay, including the pale garden and the creaking, as well as new data components that grant more options for item customization.
1.21.1 is a minor hotfix update to Java Edition released on August 8, 2024,[1] which fixes critical exploits including update suppression, and adds two new languages. Servers running this version are compatible with 1.21 clients.
1.21, the first release of Tricky Trials, is a major update to Java Edition released on June 13, 2024.[1] Originally announced at Minecraft Live 2023 on October 15, 2023, the name of the update was revealed in a Minecraft Monthly on April 26, 2024. The update was said to focus on "combat adventures and tinkering" and introduces several copper block variants and a new structure called trial chambers, as well as the new crafter, new tuff variants, the new mace weapon, twenty new paintings, and new hostile mobs that spawn in the trial chambers, amongst others. It also includes some changes to the Bad Omen effect and many bug fixes.
1.20.6 is a minor hotfix update to Java Edition released on April 29, 2024,[1] which fixes a critical bug. It is compatible with 1.20.5 servers.
1.20.5, the release of Armored Paws, is a drop for Java Edition, released on April 23, 2024.[1] It adds armadillos, wolf armor and new wolf variants along with fixing many bugs. Additionally, it updates the Update 1.21 Experiment, including the addition of the bogged, vault, breeze rods, wind charges, the mace, and the rework of Bad Omen.
1.20.4 is a minor hotfix update to Java Edition, released on December 7, 2023,[1] which fixes a critical bug.
1.20.3 is a minor update to Java Edition, released on December 5, 2023,[1] which adds the 1.21 experimental toggle features and fixes bugs. This version is compatible with 1.20.2 servers.
1.20.2 is a minor update to Java Edition, released on September 21, 2023,[1] which adds the Villager Trade Rebalance experimental toggle and the /random command, and fixes bugs. It is not compatible with 1.20 to 1.20.1 servers.
